New Day School - Fort Mohave

New Day School on Joy Lane in Fort Mohave is open on weekdays between 6:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. for children 2 to 5 years old. We belong to a family-owned group of five preschools in Mohave County that has operated for more than 35 years, and some parents who drop off here were New Day children themselves.

Classrooms are arranged as learning centers for writing, math, science, puzzles, blocks, sensory play, dramatic play, listening, book reading and computer skills. During choice time, children pick their activity while teachers guide and observe. Our own Basics and Beyond curriculum gets children ready for kindergarten through circle time themes, music and creative movement, stories and early writing.

The center is licensed by the Arizona Department of Health Services, certified by DES, and holds a Quality First 4-star rating. The director and teachers are state certified, and all staff are fingerprinted and background checked. Children use extra large playgrounds with sand and water play, rest after lunch, and get morning and afternoon snacks. Teachers also help with potty training.
