Our testing department combines comprehensive psychological assessment with a personalized, clinically informed approach. Evaluations are conducted by doctoral-level psychologists with expertise in ADHD, autism, learning differences, cognitive functioning, and complex diagnostic concerns across children, adolescents, and adults. We provide psychological evaluations at our Arlington office. Our testing measures how cognition, processing capacities, and psychological functioning interact and affect academic and daily behavior. People come to us to clarify a psychiatric diagnosis or to assess for ADHD and specific learning disabilities, and we also evaluate readiness for certain surgical procedures. We offer ADHD and psychological testing for individuals and families at our Arlington office, with a second office in McLean. Testing helps assess ADHD and other learning disorders in children and adults, and we pair the results with recommendations, coping strategies, and skill building for managing symptoms and regulating emotions. Our therapists also provide individual, couples, and group therapy, supervision and consultation, and training programs for clinicians. I offer psychological testing in Arlington, including autism, ADHD, and learning disability evaluations, along with admissions, cognitive, and academic placement testing. Autism evaluations are available for children ages 4 and up, adolescents, and adults. Each one includes a clinical interview and developmental history, questionnaires and rating scales, standardized testing, and the ADOS-2, with attention to social communication, sensory experiences, and daily functioning. I also look at how autism presents in women and girls, and I coordinate with schools and other providers when helpful.
