Autism F.I.R.S.T. - Chantilly

Autism F.I.R.S.T. is dedicated to providing specialized support and therapeutic services for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and related conditions, focusing on ages two to six through its immersive F.I.R.S.T. Steps Ahead Day Program, as well as offering after-school support for grades K-6 at the F.I.R.S.T. Steps Academy. With a mission centered on understanding and uplifting families affected by autism, the school employs evidence-based methodologies such as Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to enhance adaptive behaviors, academic success, and independence. The curriculum is designed not only to foster essential life skills but also to cultivate emotional intelligence through tailored social skills groups and engaging summer camps that encourage social interaction in a supportive environment. What sets Autism F.I.R.S.T. apart is its commitment to building strong partnerships with families, ensuring that their unique needs are met through low student-teacher ratios and a compassionate approach that emphasizes trust and lasting relationships within the community.

Our collaborative approach coordinates ABA, speech, OT and PT services under one roof – for more effective care of the children and young adults we treat and for the convenience of their families. We extend our collaboration by working with other professionals on the support team such as teachers and school therapists. Through our relational autism care, we surround each family in a full circle of support through advocacy, parent counseling, sibling therapy and support groups.
