About NACD - The National Association for Child Development — S 500 E
NACD, the National Association for Child Development, is a neurodevelopmental organization founded by Robert J. Doman Jr. and headquartered in Ogden, Utah. It has worked with over 30,000 clients and operates chapters in the United States and internationally, with remote evaluations available by video conference for families who cannot travel.
NACD is not a school and does not use a fixed curriculum. Families receive an individual comprehensive assessment, after which NACD designs a targeted program covering areas such as receptive and expressive language, hearing and vision, auditory and visual processing, fine and gross motor skills, cognitive function, behavior, and academics. Parents are trained and coached to implement the program daily at home, with follow up assessments three times a year and an online portal for programs, videos, and forms.
The organization works with people from newborns to adults, including children who are homeschooled or formally schooled. Its Who We Help section covers autism spectrum, attention deficit disorders, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, dyslexia, learning disabilities, genetic disorders, brain injury, and highly capable and gifted students. NACD is an approved provider under the Utah Fits All Scholarship Program.
