ABLE Kids serves Columbia-area families from our center on Wildwood Centre Drive with intensive, comprehensive ABA therapy for children ages 2 to 6 diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder who need 35 or more hours of therapy per week. Our model uses individualized instructional programming and naturalistic teaching within daily routines to build and sustain a child's active engagement with people and surroundings. Strengths and needs are assessed across every developmental area, including social, language and communication, cognition, motor, play and adaptive skills. Children enrolled in our ABA program can also receive onsite occupational therapy and speech therapy. Our team keeps area-specific resources for families, from autism testing centers to sensory-friendly activities and help paying for services. ABLE Kids operates centers across the Southeast.

Our downtown Columbia center on Calhoun Street is one of four ABS Kids ABA therapy centers in Columbia, serving families across Richland County and the greater Midlands with both center-based and in-home applied behavior analysis. Since 2024, our Board Certified Behavior Analysts, Behavior Technicians and family coordinators have worked with Columbia families on individualized treatment plans that fit each child's abilities and developmental progress. Programs focus on strengthening social communication and positive behavioral strategies for children with autism spectrum disorder, and families are supported through the full process from intake onward. ABS Kids holds Autism Commission on Quality certification. Center hours are Monday through Friday, 8 am to 6 pm, and in-home therapy is available for families who prefer sessions at home.

At Autism Institute of South Carolina, our Columbia ABA services are provided by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. We use play, interests, and everyday routines as part of learning, with a family-focused approach to treatment.
