About Friendship House - Scranton
Our Autism Center on Maple Street in Scranton offers treatment for children on the autism spectrum, delivered by staff extensively trained in applied behavior analysis. We believe individuals on the spectrum can be active, contributing members of the community, and our programs are built around that goal.
Center-based ABA is a full-day, intensive, comprehensive program for children ages 2.5 to 6 who already have an autism diagnosis. In 2026 we added a classroom designed to mirror a kindergarten room, with desks, a smart board and a daily schedule, so children can rehearse the routines they will meet on their first day of school. For children and adolescents in school, home and community settings, our trained Behavioral Health Technicians provide one-on-one support that builds adaptive behaviors and reduces behaviors that get in the way of learning.
