The North Dakota Autism Center (NDAC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving individuals and families affected by autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities throughout the Fargo, West Fargo, Moorhead, and surrounding communities. Founded in 2008 by Sandy Smith and Darcy Kasprowicz, NDAC provides evidence-based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy and comprehensive family support services.
NDAC holds BHCOE (Behavior Health Center of Excellence) Full Accreditation through April 1, 2027, reflecting our commitment to the highest standards of ABA care. Our services include one-to-one ABA therapy, early intervention, school support, social skills therapy, caregiver training, toilet training, telehealth services, and BCBA supervision.
What sets NDAC apart is our flexible service delivery model, offering center-based, home-based, and school-based services across West Fargo, Fargo, Moorhead, Cass County, Richland County, Grand Forks, Jamestown, and Bismarck. Under the clinical leadership of Shelby Achter, BCBA, and Executive Director Brittney Hogan, our team emphasizes individualized, family-centered care that empowers clients and enriches lives through evidence-based practices and strong community partnerships.

Phenomenal Program!

From the very first intake meeting, our family felt truly heard and supported by the NDAC team, and that sense of partnership never faded. The one-to-one ABA sessions were thoughtfully tailored to our child’s needs, with clear goals and progress updates that helped us celebrate real wins week after week. Caregiver training gave us practical strategies we could use at home and in the community, which made daily routines calmer and more successful. Having both center-based and in-home options provided consistency and comfort for our child, and it made scheduling so much easier for our family. The staff’s communication was professional and timely, and their emphasis on quality assurance and training gave us genuine peace of mind. Family Support Services were a lifeline when we needed respite and guidance navigating waiver options, and the team approached every question with compassion.
