Proud Moments ABA runs a center on Old Pecos Trail in Santa Fe providing autism diagnostic evaluations and center-based applied behavior analysis. It is one of very few dedicated autism providers with a physical site in the state capital, where families have generally had to drive to Albuquerque. Treatment plans are individualized and built by board certified and licensed behavior analysts, targeting communication, social and daily living skills. Because the practice does its own diagnostic evaluations, a family without a diagnosis does not have to secure one elsewhere before starting. In-home programming is available alongside the center, so the setting can follow what a particular child needs rather than what the provider prefers. Two practical details matter more than any description of method. The center reports it is accepting new clients with no waitlist, which in autism services is the difference between help this month and help next year. And it names its insurers specifically: Turquoise Care, Presbyterian, Blue Cross Blue Shield, UnitedHealthcare, Cigna and Western Skies Community Care, along with most major private plans. Turquoise Care is New Mexico's Medicaid program, so families on Medicaid are covered rather than quietly excluded. Both in-network and out-of-network benefits are handled.
