Amplified Therapy delivers early intervention in southwestern New Mexico from a base in Cliff, in Grant County. It provides services under the New Mexico Family Infant Toddler program, known as FIT, which supports families of children from newborn to age three who have a developmental delay or disability or who are at risk of one. The FIT structure is worth understanding because it removes the two obstacles that usually stop rural families getting help. Services are delivered in the family's own home and other natural settings rather than at a clinic, so there is no long drive, and FIT is a publicly funded entitlement rather than a private-pay service.
