Voorhees occupies two suites, 130 and 160, at 1101 Laurel Oak Rd. in Camden County. The local number is 856-518-3466, and Lynnsay Manning is the center leader, covering Blackwood and Burlington as well. Sessions run Monday through Friday from 8am to 7pm, and weekends are closed. New clients are being accepted with no waitlist. The center delivers Applied Behavior Analysis for children on the autism spectrum one to one. An advocate opens intake by gathering family details and contacting the insurance carrier for authorization. A BCBA then assesses the child and writes a comprehensive individualized treatment plan, and a BCBA and therapist team implements it. The center works with children from infancy through age 21, and Proud Moments carries a BHCOE Award of Distinction. It accepts Horizon, Aetna, Oxford, UnitedHealthcare, Medicaid and TRICARE, along with Cigna and Blue Cross Blue Shield. Complex skills are broken into smaller steps and taught with positive reinforcement in naturalistic settings, and progress is reviewed against data under senior clinician supervision. Parents receive regular training and direct supervision of the behavior techniques they use. Sessions build communication, including initiating and holding conversation. Social and emotional skills are worked on, and adaptive daily living skills cover safety awareness, toilet training and executive functioning. Older clients work on job competence skills, and programs reduce tantrums, self-injury and aggression.
