Proud Moments ABA - Vineland — W Sherman Ave.

Suite 1A at 1103 W Sherman Ave. in Vineland is the Cumberland County ABA center, reachable on 856-240-4930. Marc Ambrosia is the center leader here and also at Bridgeton. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8am to 7pm, closed weekends, and there is no waitlist for new clients.

Ages run from infancy through 21, and Proud Moments holds a BHCOE Award of Distinction. The center accepts Horizon, Aetna, Oxford, UnitedHealthcare, TRICARE and Medicaid, along with Cigna and Blue Cross Blue Shield.

Programs work on communication and language acquisition, and on social and emotional skills such as reading social cues, following rules and taking turns. Adaptive daily living skills take in safety awareness and executive functioning, moving toward job competence skills for older clients. Tantrums, self-injury and aggression are addressed where they interfere with development.

The center runs Applied Behavior Analysis for children on the autism spectrum in one to one sessions. Families are handled first by an advocate, who takes their information and begins insurance authorization. A BCBA then assesses the child and writes a comprehensive individualized treatment plan for a BCBA and therapist team to implement. Complex skills are broken into smaller steps and taught with positive reinforcement in naturalistic settings, and a data-driven review with senior clinician supervision tracks progress. Parents receive regular training and direct supervision of behavior techniques.
