ABA Centers of New Jersey - Hackensack

The Hackensack address occupies the 5th floor of 3 University Plaza Drive, an office complex in Bergen County. It is one of six New Jersey cities where ABA Centers of New Jersey runs a clinic.

Diagnostic appointments are built around standardized instruments. An ADOS-2 based screening runs up to four hours, analysis of the results takes one to two weeks, and a follow-up appointment covers findings and next steps. The RAADS-R is used in some cases. Virtual screening, evaluation, and testing are available as well.

Therapy starts with an assessment by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, who writes the plan. A Registered Behavior Technician runs the sessions and records the progress data the BCBA uses to revise goals. Both credentials come from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board. Child ABA covers ages two to twelve, and teen programming runs alongside it.

Sessions are not confined to the building. Home and school settings are both options, and school-based ABA carries no expense to the school, with providers clearing the same vetting, fingerprinting, and insurance verification as school employees.

Intake begins with a free consultation and an analysis of insurance benefits. Bergen leads the fourteen-county service area. Phones are staffed Monday to Friday 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM, weekends 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
