Program areas include communication, such as initiating and holding conversation, and social and emotional skills like following rules and taking turns. Adaptive daily living skills cover safety awareness and toilet training, older clients work on job competence skills, and therapy reduces tantrums, self-injury and aggression. Complex skills are broken into smaller steps and taught with positive reinforcement in naturalistic settings, and progress is checked through a data-driven review process with senior clinician supervision. Parents receive regular training on the behavior techniques used at home.
