Proud Moments ABA - Burlington

Children on the autism spectrum receive Applied Behavior Analysis one to one. Intake begins with an advocate, who collects family details and starts insurance authorization. A BCBA then assesses the child and writes an individualized treatment plan. Each child is matched with a BCBA and therapist team who carry it out.

Session goals span communication and language acquisition. Social and emotional skills are covered too, such as understanding social cues and taking turns, along with adaptive daily living skills. Older clients add job competence skills. Programs also reduce behaviors that interfere with learning, among them tantrums, self-injury and aggression.

Proud Moments takes children from infancy through age 21 and carries a BHCOE Award of Distinction. The center accepts Horizon, Aetna, Oxford, UnitedHealthcare, Medicaid and TRICARE, along with Cigna and Blue Cross Blue Shield. Complex skills are broken into smaller steps and taught with positive reinforcement in naturalistic settings, and a data-driven review process with senior clinician supervision tracks progress. Parent training is part of the model.
