Proud Moments ABA - Bridgeton

Goals commonly cover communication, including starting and holding a conversation. Social and emotional skills are worked on as well, and so are adaptive skills like toilet training, safety awareness and executive functioning. For older clients the programs extend into skills tied to job competence. Behavior reduction targets tantrums, self-injury and aggression.

Therapy is center-based Applied Behavior Analysis for children on the autism spectrum, run one to one. After a family makes contact, an advocate gathers information and begins insurance authorization. A BCBA assesses the child and builds a comprehensive individualized treatment plan, which a BCBA and therapist team then implements. Teaching uses positive reinforcement and naturalistic techniques, breaks complex skills into smaller steps, and relies on a data-driven review with senior clinician supervision. Parents receive regular training and direct supervision of the behavior techniques they use.

Ages served run from infancy through 21, and Proud Moments holds a BHCOE Award of Distinction. Insurance accepted includes Medicaid, TRICARE, Cigna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Horizon and UnitedHealthcare.
