Proud Moments ABA - Blackwood

The Blackwood center sits at 160 Fries Mill Rd. in Camden County. It opens Monday through Friday from 8am to 7pm and stays closed at weekends. Lynnsay Manning is the center leader, and the local intake line is 856-480-3702. No waitlist is reported for new clients.

Work here is Applied Behavior Analysis for children on the autism spectrum, delivered one to one. Intake starts with an advocate, who takes the family's information and contacts the insurance carrier for authorization. A BCBA then assesses the child and writes an individualized treatment plan. From there the child is matched with a BCBA and therapist team who carry it out.

Sessions reach across three areas. Communication is one. Social and emotional skills are another, meaning things like reading social cues, following rules and taking turns. The third is adaptive daily living, which covers safety awareness, toilet training and executive functioning. Older clients add skills related to job competence, and programs work to reduce tantrums, self-injury and aggression.

Complex skills are broken into smaller steps, and a data-driven review process with senior clinician supervision tracks progress toward goals. Parent training and direct supervision of behavior techniques run alongside the child's therapy. Proud Moments serves ages infancy through 21 and holds a BHCOE Award of Distinction. The center accepts TRICARE, UnitedHealthcare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Horizon and Medicaid, using both in-network and out-of-network benefits.
