Our Goal is to provide highly effective treatment for children with autism and their parents by following a method scientifically proven to bring clear results. The method we use is Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) based on extensive clinical peer reviewed research. We service families with children and adolescents on the autism spectrum 18 months to 18 years. Therapy addresses a variety of areas including language, cognitive, social, self-help (potty training, dressing, grooming, eating), gross motor & fine motor skills, play skills, and behavioral issues. Behavioral consultation includes skill assessment, functional behavioral assessment, treatment planning, parent training, and creating a behavior intervention plan (BIP). We are locally owned with a heavy emphasis on in family involvement, flexibility, intervening in natural environments (home, schools, daycares, and other community locations), and extensive Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) training. We provide individualized treatment with hours recommended based on thorough assessment (4-40 hours a week depending on level of need). Our goal is for the child/adolescent to become more independent, develop healthy relationships, and eventually fade services. Summit Autism Center

No reviews yet

Roswell, GA • Ages 12+ • in-clinic

Summit Autism Center in Roswell has run ABA programs for a long time for both school-age children and for adults in a separate adult day program, so you are not limited to a single age band. The building is about 14,000 square feet with sensory-friendly gym space and room for group and one-to-one work; ask for a tour if you need to see noise levels and the daily flow. The team points to a lower ratio, trauma-informed training for staff, and direct access to ownership for operational questions. Before you sign on, ask how BCBA and RBT staffing is assigned, what a typical week of hours looks like, and how family communication works when goals change. Insurance and funding questions should be handled up front, since ABA and adult services may not follow the same rules.

Why Choose ABA Therapy in Roswell?

Roswell is in North Fulton County along the Chattahoochee and is one of the largest suburbs north of Atlanta. Families in Roswell, Alpharetta, Milton, and Johns Creek have access to several ABA therapy centers, including intensive programs for young children and center-based care with BCBA supervision. Ava's Law and Georgia Medicaid make coverage widely available. Babies Can't Wait serves Fulton County for children under 3.

Comprehensive Autism Therapy Services in Roswell

Roswell-area centers offer early intervention for toddlers (some from 15 months), full-day or intensive ABA for young children, and programs for school-age kids. Several provide diagnostics and assessments under one roof. You will find play-based and structured options. North Fulton schools and private clinics often coordinate so therapy supports IEP goals. When exploring special needs educational programs alongside behavioral therapy, families in Roswell often find that coordinated services produce the best outcomes.

Understanding Insurance Coverage for ABA Therapy in Roswell

Georgia autism coverage is anchored in 'Ava's Law' (Senate Bill 118), which mandates that most state-regulated insurance plans cover Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) for individuals up to age 20. For families on Medicaid, the Georgia Pediatric Program (GAPP) provides a critical pathway, covering medically necessary ABA and skilled nursing for children with significant needs. In 2025 and 2026, families have seen improved parity in private plans, though individual caps (often around $35,000 yearly for younger children) may still apply depending on the specific plan type. Major carriers like Anthem BCBS, Aetna, and UnitedHealthcare are the primary commercial payers in the state. Families seeking additional support may find valuable resources through Georgia's special needs resource directory.

Georgia Autism Support Programs and Regulations

The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) manages the COMP and NOW waivers, which are essential for long-term behavioral support, though waitlists remain a challenge. For immediate early intervention, 'Babies Can't Wait' (BCW) serves children from birth to age 3, providing evaluations and service coordination. A notable 2026 trend is the expansion of 'Tailored' coordinated care models intended to integrate mental and physical health. Families can check the Georgia Department of Community Health (DCH) for Medicaid GAPP eligibility and for providers that accept Peach State or Amerigroup. When exploring specialized educational programs to complement ABA therapy, Roswell families have access to a comprehensive network of support services.
