Best Special Needs Schools in Washougal, Washington (2026)

Riverside Christian School is a Seventh-day Adventist school connected to Riverside Seventh-day Adventist Church, serving pre-kindergarten through 8th grade in small classes. Teachers lead combined grades such as kindergarten and 1st grade and 3rd through 5th grade, and our K-Prep program gets younger children ready for kindergarten. Volunteers clearing blackberry bushes on our land uncovered a year-round stream and an oak-shaded picnic area. Our church and school turned the old shed there into the W.I.L.D. Outdoor Learning Lab, with a deck, raised garden beds, blueberry bushes and fruit trees, and students use project-based learning to keep developing the space. We help families afford a Christ-centered education through need-based school assistance using FACTS, a $300 tuition credit for referring a new family, and Adventist grants and scholarships, including an Oregon Conference grant for incoming kindergarten and first grade students.
