Illahee Elementary School serves kindergarten through 5th grade in Camas as part of Evergreen Public Schools, and our students go by the Illahee Ravens. Three special education teachers and seven paraeducators make up our special education team. Alongside them, our student support staff includes a speech-language pathologist, an occupational therapist, a physical therapist, a school psychologist, a Learning Assistance Program teacher, an intervention paraeducator and an English language learning paraeducator. Two school counselors reach every student through classroom lessons, small groups, crisis response and individual counseling, and they help families find an outside mental health counselor when a child needs more. Our Family and Community Resource Center offers extra weekday meals, snacks, clothes, shoes and winter coats to families who need them and connects parents with community services. Students take music and PE with specialist teachers. Our PTO puts on book fairs, a glow dance party and a spring carnival, and it supports student council, the spring talent show, a community garden and the Art Discovery program.
