Dartmoor School is a private, fully accredited one-to-one school serving students in grades 1 through 12 across multiple campuses in the Puget Sound area, including its Seattle location in the Maple Leaf neighborhood. Founded in 1990, the school specializes in providing a customized academic experience for a diverse student body, including those with neurodiverse profiles such as ADD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and dyslexia. Dartmoor is approved by the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) as both a private school and a Non-Public Agency, and its high school coursework is NCAA-approved. North Creek High School opened in fall 2017 on a campus of more than 60 acres with wetlands, and almost 1,900 students in grades 9 through 12 now attend from the north end of the Northshore School District in Bothell. Our buildings are heated and cooled with geothermal energy and partly offset by solar power, classrooms have movable glass walls, and hallways include Collaboration Cubes for small-group work. Students can choose from more than 20 Advanced Placement courses, 10 College in the High School courses, Running Start, AVID, career and technical education and classes like Aviation: Introduction to Flight. Arts include drama, band, orchestra and choir, and our Jaguars compete in sports from football and swim and dive to gymnastics and girls flag football. Special education runs through three pathways: the Learning Center, Mid-Level and Functional Skills and Academics (FSA) for students with the highest support needs. School psychologists, speech-language pathologists, behavior specialists, occupational and physical therapists and para-educators deliver services, and FSA students take part in school life through peer coaching, unified bowling and soccer, and a Best Buddies club.
