About Oakland School - Troy
Oakland School is at 128 Oakland Farm Way in Troy, on a 450-acre campus outside Charlottesville. The school year runs September through May for second grade through high school. A first graduating class is planned for 2027. Oakland works with students who have dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, or ADHD, and with students who need more individual attention. Average class size is six students to one teacher, with 1:1 individual instruction. About 35 to 45 day students attend during the year. A summer camp with academics is also offered. Teachers are licensed by Virginia. Oakland is a VAISEF member. Day tuition is $32,500, and tuition assistance is available. The school day is 9:00 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.
