Bear Creek Academy

Bear Creek Academy is our private special education day school for students ages 11–18 with learning and emotional disabilities. We combine required academic courses with electives, community projects and social-emotional learning.

Classes have no more than eight students and are staffed by a teacher and therapeutic advocate or aide. Counseling interventions and individualized accommodations support students’ learning. Service learning and outdoor experiences extend instruction beyond the classroom. Our school is located in the Cumberland County Community Center.
