About Breakout School
BreakOut School is our nonprofit private school for neurodiverse boys and girls, including students with ADHD and autism. We build learning around practical experiences, hands-on activities, time outdoors and core reading, writing and math skills.
Students also explore entrepreneurship by developing their own small businesses. Social-emotional learning, friendships and physical activity are woven into the program. Our approach is designed for learners who find conventional classroom settings difficult; our program is not intended for students with oppositional behaviors.

Other Schools in Pleasant Grove, UT
Liahona Preparatory Academy
Liahona Preparatory Academy teaches Pre-K through grade 12 on a Pleasant Grove campus, built around an LDS-based curriculum the school calls Restoration Education, with a parallel distance education track for grades 1 through 12 and coursework administered through Schoology. Academic intervention is a staffed position at the elementary level: the Pre-K through grade 6 faculty includes intervention specialist Susan Mancilla. In grades 7 through 12, the principal also serves as guidance counselor. The scope of the intervention role is not spelled out publicly. Students who already hold an Individualized Education Program are pointed toward the state-funded Carson Smith Scholarship through a named staff contact, and a limited number of service-based scholarships are awarded each year. Tuition for 2026-2027 is $510 a month for full-day kindergarten through grade 6, $525 for grades 7 and 8, and $610 for accredited high school, with a non-accredited high school track at $525. Pre-K is $340 a month for two days or $410 for four. A $125 annual registration fee and textbook costs of roughly $100 to $300 sit on top. Enrollment runs through the school office.
Spectrum Academy - Pleasant Grove Elementary
At Spectrum Academy’s Pleasant Grove Elementary campus, students in kindergarten through grade 6 learn in an elementary setting built around academics and social communication. Daily social-skills lessons give students practice with functional language and common interactions through stories and role-play. This campus serves the elementary grades, separate from the Pleasant Grove secondary program.
Spectrum Academy - Pleasant Grove Secondary
Spectrum Academy’s Pleasant Grove Secondary campus serves students in grades 7–12 and beyond. Our program pairs academic instruction with social-skills learning and collaboration with families. Students in the older grades can continue into high school within the same campus community.
