Rogue Academy

Ogden, UT

Rogue Academy sits inside Rogue Behavior Services' center at 3651 Wall Ave, Suite 1004, in Ogden's Newgate Mall. It takes students from preschool through eighth grade, requires an autism diagnosis for admission, pairs each student with a registered behavior technician for one on one support, and builds the schedule around what works for the family rather than a fixed bell timetable. The surrounding center provides applied behavior analysis in a structured space set up for both individual sessions and small group work, so students get peer interaction alongside one on one time. Board certified behavior analysts assess each child, write the plan against that assessment, and adjust it as goals are met, while registered behavior technicians run the day to day sessions. Medicaid, SelectHealth, Regence Blue Cross Blue Shield, and United Healthcare are among the plans accepted, and sponsored autism evaluations are available for families who still need a diagnosis. Families begin with an eligibility form, with a reply promised inside 24 hours.

Utah Schools for the Deaf and the Blind

Ogden, UT Grades PreK-12 & up to 22
Deaf and hard of hearing Blind and low vision Deafblind

Our Ogden campus on Harrison Boulevard holds the administrative offices of the Utah Schools for the Deaf and the Blind (USDB) and two schools. The Kenneth Burdett School of the Deaf (KBS) serves about 85 deaf and hard of hearing students, age 3 through age 22, from across northern Utah, teaching in American Sign Language and English. Speech-language services and audiology are provided as each IEP team decides. KBS sits directly across the street from partner Ogden School District elementary, middle and high schools, so students can take mainstream classes, electives and activities with ASL interpreters while staying enrolled with us. For students who are blind, have low vision or are deafblind, the Ogden campus runs preschool, elementary and Bridges High School, a grades 9 to 12 program built on Utah core standards and the Expanded Core Curriculum, with small teacher-to-student ratios and intensive assistive technology. Bridges students earn a regular or alternate Utah diploma. Students who live too far to commute can live on campus during the week in the KBS cottages or Bridges Residential Life. Post-high students train for jobs at Ogden-Weber Technical College and with local employers.
