Layton Christian Academy is a private Christian school in Layton, Utah, near the south gate of Hill Air Force Base. Founded in 1993, it operates on Christian principles and a biblical curriculum and serves more than 600 students annually from preschool through twelfth grade. Students come from more than 53 countries. Programs include preschool, kindergarten, elementary, middle and high school, plus LCA Online, LCA Flex, domestic boarding, an English language program for international students, and middle and high school athletics. The school participates in the Utah Fits All scholarship, which can apply up to $8,000 toward tuition. Academic support runs through the Eagles' Nest Learning Lab, a fee-based tutoring program for pre-K through grade 12 covering reading, writing, math, and speech or language. The lab is not special education. Students admitted with a state ordered IEP receive weekly instruction toward a Learning Goals Plan, and the Director of Academic Services consults the Davis County School District on guidance and eligibility.

Layton, UT Grades K-12
Hybrid homeschool Project-based learning Multi-age classrooms

Link Education League is a nonprofit hybrid homeschool program in Layton, started in 2021 by a group of parents and teachers in Davis County. Students stay homeschooled and join us in person one or two days a week, in mixed-age classrooms where they set goals, choose projects and work together. Our main offering, the Lift Program, serves ages 5 to 14 on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Rosewood Lane Church of the Nazarene. Alpha (ages 5 to 8) can also attend Tuesdays only, while Beta (9 to 12) and Gamma (12 to 14) meet both days. Each term immerses students in one topic, such as an ancient civilization, covering its culture, food, art, science and geography, and ends with a family celebration where students display projects, perform and share portfolios. We also run year-long classes. MUSE Performers, for ages 7 to 16, uses a full theatre production as the frame for history, science and costume or set building, and our Thursday Nature Program for ages 12 to 18 keeps science notebooks and field journals while studying wetlands, rivers and geology.
