Fain Elementary serves students from pre-kindergarten through fifth grade in Wichita Falls ISD, with bilingual classrooms at several grade levels, including pre-K, kindergarten, fourth and fifth grade. Our 55 staff members include a diagnostician, a dyslexia teacher, an instructional coach, a librarian and paraprofessionals. We welcome military-connected families. Our campus-based military liaison helps with enrollment, records transfers, academic planning and connections to community resources during relocations, and military families can arrange a virtual tour before they arrive. Our pre-kindergarten follows the Texas Education Agency high-quality pre-K family engagement plan.

Hirschi Middle School is a free public charter school for grades 6 to 8 in Wichita Falls, run by Third Future Schools. Our model is personalized learning: each student has a profile of academic history, strengths, interests and how they learn best, along with an individual academic plan, and instruction moves between large groups, small groups, partners and independent work. Students who struggle get more time and attention, and advanced students keep moving ahead. Through our Dyad Program, grades are paired, with seventh and eighth graders forming one dyad, and students complete experience requirements over each two-year span, from performing arts and project-based learning to filmography, language, community service and travel. Dyad classes are taught by community experts in areas such as photography, coding, yoga, musical instruments, comic book illustration and mural making. Eligible seventh graders can travel out of state and eighth graders can travel abroad, with eligibility tied to a proficient score on our Habits of Success rubric. Before and after care is available for families who need a longer day.
