Grace Hardeman Elementary has served Watauga families since 1971. We teach pre-kindergarten through fifth grade as one of the elementary campuses of Birdville ISD, and our teachers average 12.6 years of classroom experience. Students know us as the Roadrunners, and our campus motto, RISE, stands for reaching our goals, inspiring others, a safe and student-centered environment, and everyone as a valued member of our school family. Our building includes a library, a school nurse, and campus counselors, and students can join activities beyond the classroom, including band. Students with disabilities receive special education through Birdville ISD. After an evaluation, an Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) committee that includes parents decides eligibility and writes an Individualized Education Program. The district also runs early childhood special education and multi-tiered systems of support for students who need intervention.
