Felix Morales Elementary School
Felix Morales Elementary School opened in 1992 to relieve crowding on the north side of Pasadena, one of three Pasadena ISD elementary schools built that year from the same floor plan, along with Turner and Matthys. The school honors Felix H. Morales, a local entrepreneur and civic leader whose radio station, KVLV La Voz Latina, was the first Spanish-language station to cover news in the area. In our early years enrollment ran between 750 and 800 students. Boundary changes and the opening of middle schools have since brought it to about 500 students in prekindergarten through fourth grade, along with three self-contained special education classrooms on our campus. We sit in an established neighborhood and have now taught two generations of local families, and we see ourselves as a community hub with partnerships among families and nearby businesses. We are a Title I campus, and breakfast and lunch are free for every Pasadena ISD student in the 2026-2027 school year.
