Kids In Action

Kids In Action started in 1988, when our founder, a former physical education teacher, began teaching children to tumble. It has grown into a family-owned preschool and child care center on Woodland Hills Drive in Kingwood, run by a mother-daughter team,. We care for infants from 6 weeks old through preschool, and our after school program serves children ages 5 to 11.

Movement is built into every day. Our two full-size indoor gyms have gymnastics flooring, a rock wall, ropes and rings, plus wood floors for scooters, hockey and parachute games. Outside, an acre of natural space holds our outdoor classrooms. Lessons blend gymnastics, Kindermusik, outdoor learning, and Circle Curriculum and Frog Street preschool work. Our dual language class for 3 and 4 year olds teaches each lesson in Spanish in the morning and English in the afternoon.

We hold a Texas Rising Star rating, our teachers hold or are working toward education degrees or the CDA credential, and every class except the 4-baby infant room keeps ratios below the state standard. After school, we pick up from all Kingwood elementary schools and provide homework help.
