About Manor Excel Academy
Manor Excel Academy is a Manor ISD campus for students in grades 10 to 12 who are working to finish high school after falling behind or who are at risk of dropping out. Our students, the Mavericks, apply to attend. To join, a student needs at least six credits, a 90 percent attendance record they can keep up, no discipline concerns, and the readiness to handle accelerated coursework. Students and parents each sign a contract, and parents agree to meet with teachers if their student is not meeting expectations.
Coursework covers what students need to graduate, including biology, chemistry, physics, environmental systems, U.S. history, government and economics, plus art courses in drawing and painting. Students can earn credit by exam and complete credit recovery. Those who have finished their credit recovery courses and passed at least three STAAR tests can move to a shorter Graduation Ready schedule.
District bus routes serve the campus, and Manor ISD provides free meals to enrolled students for the 2026-27 school year. Our school colors are red and black.
