Special Needs Sports Foundation, Inc. (SNSFI) is dedicated to empowering individuals with mental and physical challenges by providing them with organized recreational and social activities that foster dignity, honor, and friendship. Established in June 2012 as a non-profit organization in Tennessee, SNSFI serves participants across Sumner, Northern Davidson, Robertson, and Wilson counties. Hoover Learning Group provides dyslexia therapy, assessments, and academic tutoring for students in kindergarten through twelfth grade, in person in Hendersonville and virtually. Therapy is delivered by Certified Academic Language Therapists using Take Flight, an accredited Structured Literacy program built on Orton-Gillingham principles. Founder Natalie Hoover holds a master's in education with an emphasis in dyslexia and academic language therapy from SMU, is a Licensed Dyslexia Therapist and Qualified Instructor, and has over 500 hours of advanced training in accredited dyslexia interventions. Families start with a free call, then the student is matched with a specialist who suits their learning style and schedule. Week-long ACT and SAT prep intensives run in groups capped at six students for teens with dyslexia, ADHD, and other learning differences.
