About Owens Christian Academy
Owens Christian Academy in North Charleston serves children from age two through first grade, so families stay with us from toddler classrooms through our kindergarten cap and gown ceremony and into first grade. Our activities are multi-level and multisensory so each lesson reaches children at their own level, and we build motor, social, and academic skills together.
We are licensed by the state and meet or exceed state standards for buildings, classroom equipment, staff ratios, safety and health procedures, nutrition, and curriculum. All lead teachers are certified, every staff member holds First Aid and Child CPR certification and passes a background check, and our staff keep current through workshops and continuing education courses.
Families join us for PTA meetings, class performances and Harvest Day, and we participate in the South Carolina Education Scholarship Trust Fund.

Crescent Child Development Services
Crescent Child Development Services, LLC has been dedicated to supporting individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder since 2011, focusing on fostering meaningful development through evidence-based practices. The school serves children across a range of ages and diagnoses, particularly those who benefit from Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy. The team consists of credentialed professionals who adhere to high ethical standards and are dedicated to delivering quality care. In addition to ABA therapy, Crescent offers behavioral and special education consulting as well as speech-language therapy, ensuring a holistic approach to each child's development. Parents and caregivers are actively involved in the process through direct training on treatment plans, equipping them with the necessary tools to reinforce learning at home. What sets Crescent apart is not only its specialized facilities and therapeutic methodologies but also its strong emphasis on family partnerships and community engagement, creating a nurturing environment where children can thrive academically and socially.
