Camperdown Academy is at 65 Verdae Commons Drive in Greenville. It opened in 1986 and moved to the Verdae campus in 2018. The school serves grades 1 through 8. Students need a primary diagnosis of dyslexia and average or better cognitive ability. ADHD, auditory processing disorder, or anxiety may be present as a secondary diagnosis. The schoolwide ratio is 3:1, and content classes in grades 3-8 have no more than 12 students. Typical enrollment is three to four years, then the outplacement office helps families move to another school. Camperdown does not have training to serve autism, emotional disabilities, or conduct disorders. 2026-27 tuition is $24,325 for grades 1-2 and $28,980 for grades 3-8. Financial aid, Exceptional SC grants, and ESTF funds are available. About 95 percent of students receive some tuition help.
