About Davidson School
The Davidson School is Elwyn's licensed private school, approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Education, for students ages 3 to 22 with autism spectrum disorder and intellectual, developmental, neurological, sensory, behavioral and medically fragile needs. Elwyn has served people with disabilities since 1852.
Our classrooms run from early learning through middle and high school, with individualized special education delivered by educators and therapists working together. Older students prepare for life after school through hands-on academics and real-life experiences, and young adults ages 18 to 21 can continue in our Strine Student Transition Center.
Students come to us through their home school district as an IEP placement. The district pays tuition and provides transportation, and our admissions team reviews records and meets with the family and district to confirm fit. We serve breakfast and lunch each day and offer an Extended School Year program in July.
