Bethlehem Area Professional-Technical School

Colonial Early Learning Center is a Bethlehem preschool inside Colonial Intermediate Unit 20's Early Intervention network. Children attend from ages 3 through 5, and the program reaches families in Northampton, Monroe, and Pike counties. Special education follows each child's needs and plan. Across that preschool program, CIU 20 can arrange specialized instruction, speech-language support, occupational therapy, and physical therapy. A child may be served in an IU preschool classroom, a community preschool, or another contracted setting. Consultation and itinerant support are also possible. In 2025 the Bethlehem center added an outdoor play area with a sensory walkway. A former early intervention student planned and built it as an Eagle Scout project. The center is at 3144 Linden Street, Bethlehem.

Lehigh Valley Academy is the only fully authorized International Baccalaureate World School in Pennsylvania offering the IB continuum to all students from kindergarten through grade 12. We are a public regional charter school in Bethlehem, authorized by the Bethlehem Area and Saucon Valley school districts, and we enroll more than 1,800 students from school districts across the Lehigh Valley. Learning starts with full-day kindergarten and continues through senior year with inquiry-based instruction and the IB Approaches to Learning skills that carry across subjects. Community service is part of the curriculum in every grade, K to 12, and our elementary, middle and high schools each follow their own schedule. Student Services includes English Language Development, a Student Assistance Program and support for students experiencing homelessness under the McKinney-Vento Act. Students can also join athletics and co-curricular activities, and we offer health services, food services and transportation.
