About Yolanda Elementary School

Yolanda is one of 12 elementary schools in Springfield Public Schools, serving about 388 students in kindergarten through 5th grade on Yolanda Avenue. Our staff put real effort into knowing each student's strengths and interests so we can match learning opportunities to the child.

We offer programs for students experiencing disabilities, along with English Language Development instruction built on Oregon's English Language Proficiency Standards for students learning English. Students identified as talented and gifted are served through the district's TAG program, which addresses academic, social and emotional needs.

In 5th grade, any student can join the district's beginning orchestra and learn violin, viola, cello or bass with no prior experience. Ensembles rehearse twice a week from late September through June and finish with the All Elementary Extravaganza Concert in May, with affordable instrument rental available. Breakfast is served each morning, and Willamalane Park and Recreation District runs after-school and no-school-day childcare on our campus.
