Albina Head Start is dedicated to providing high-quality early childhood education and family support services for low-income families in North, NE, and SE Portland. Serving children from six weeks to age five, as well as prenatal and teen parents, the school focuses on fostering healthy attachments between parents and their children through its comprehensive Early Head Start and Head Start programs. These initiatives are thoughtfully designed to support child development while addressing the unique needs of each family. With specialized offerings like Mandarin language instruction available at nine preschool locations, Albina Head Start stands out by integrating cultural enrichment into its curriculum. The school's commitment to maintaining strong family partnerships, coupled with a supportive environment that includes resources for working parents and students, ensures that every child receives the nurturing they need for a successful start in life. Unique features such as low student-teacher ratios enhance individualized attention, making Albina Head Start a vital resource in the community for those seeking exceptional early education and care.

Bamboo International School’s Bethany Village site teaches children from 8 months to 5 years through English and Chinese. Its early-childhood classes draw on the Reggio Emilia approach and weave language, STEM, arts, movement, and daily life skills into the day.

Our Portland Montessori program serves children from 24 months through age six, Monday through Friday. The school day is available from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. within an early-childhood Montessori setting.
