About Newberg High School
A later Wednesday start is part of our school schedule at Newberg High School; on school days, classes run to mid-afternoon. We serve ninth- through twelfth-graders from Newberg, Dundee and surrounding rural areas on the Douglas Avenue campus. The campus has served the community since 1963, with its most recent expansion and remodel in 2023.
Administrators, a dean of students and counselors work with defined student groups. We provide academic counseling, school activities and planning for life after high school. Families can find faculty, review visitor information, explore the resource room and participate as volunteers through our school resources. Those arrangements give families ways to follow schoolwork and take part in campus life.
Newberg-Dundee Public Schools' Special Programs Department provides the wider district supports we draw on. Its work includes special education, Section 504, counseling, health services and other learning supports. The team works with students, families and staff on academic, social and emotional needs and barriers to instruction. Families can also use district resources about autism, dyslexia and other learning needs. The relevant support depends on each student's circumstances, alongside the high school's academic and activity program.
