Learning Lab Preschool - Ashland

Listed
Ashland, ORAges 2-55:1 ratio

The Learning Lab in Ashland enrolls only ten children each school year, ages 3 to 5, with two teachers for a five-to-one child-to-teacher ratio. Class meets Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and tuition is $820 per month over a ten-month school year. We follow an emergent curriculum: our teachers observe closely and design projects around each child's interests, planned across social, physical, intellectual, creative, and emotional growth. The classroom pairs Montessori materials and STEM resources with televised microscopes, butterfly terrariums, a brine shrimp hatchery, and a ladybug hatchery. Children study basic internal anatomy, learn our native trees, identify birds and insects, tend a children's garden, and build reading readiness through phonics. There is plenty of room for imagination too, with dramatic play, puppet theater, a large wooden castle, an outdoor fairy garden, music, storytelling, and an extensive art program. We also teach children a step-by-step way to work out conflicts on their own.

Ashland, ORAges 2-5$600/month (mornings) or $1,200/month (full time)

Children at Nature Kids Academy spend part of every day outdoors. Our small Ashland preschool, run by Rogue Valley Educational Services, was built around a simple idea: young children learn best through play, art and time in nature, with as little screen time as possible. We offer two year-round options billed monthly over 12 months. Morning preschool runs from 8:30 to 12:30 for $600 a month and suits many of our younger students. Full-time preschool runs from 8:30 to 4:00 for $1,200 a month and adds a quiet time after lunch. Both days include free play, circle time, outdoor adventures, art and science, and families send lunch and snacks from home. Our owner and director has more than 30 years of teaching experience and a master's degree focused on kindergarten readiness. Every enrolled family also receives free family coaching to help with difficult behavior or hard situations at home.
