College Bound Academy is a tuition-free public charter school with two Tulsa campuses serving pre-kindergarten through 8th grade. Our day runs longer than a traditional calendar, adding more than 250 instructional hours a year, and we use that time for extended literacy and math work, a character development curriculum, and differentiation. Literacy comes first. Scholars receive at least 150 minutes of literacy instruction daily plus writing time, and every K to 2 scholar joins two small reading groups each day. Teachers get at least 20 days of professional development a year and weekly coaching. Elementary scholars take art, music, and physical education each week, while middle schoolers at the Brookside campus choose electives such as choir, speech and debate, digital art, and Native American history. We are known for serving English learners and their families, with Spanish-speaking staff at every grade level and in administration and family services. Our special education team delivers IEP services in general education classrooms, resource settings, or other settings set by each student's IEP team, and new families receive home visits.
