About Ranger High -Tech Academy

Ranger High-Tech Academy is the STEAM school of North Ridgeville City Schools, serving fourth, fifth and sixth graders at our Lear Nagle Road building. The Ohio Department of Education granted our STEAM designation in 2023 for the 2022 to 2027 period, adding the arts to our earlier STEM focus so that science, technology, engineering, art and math run through every content area.

Families apply for a seat, and applications for each new school year open in January. Our principal also serves as the district's STEAM coordinator, and the building has been reorganized to give students more space for hands-on STEAM work.

Grade-level activity nights, an all-music fall concert and an active PTO fill the calendar, and community partners support our programs. Right At School offers before- and after-school care for working families.

Ranger STRONG gives our North Ridgeville Academic Center students a shared way to take responsibility at school. Service, teamwork, respect, ownership, necessity and goals guide that approach. We connect those expectations with academic work, students' safety and the relationships that help them feel part of the school community. Regular attendance gives students time to participate in that work. Through Ohio's Stay in the Game! Attendance Network, we work with families to keep children connected to school and build consistent attendance. Students also have opportunities to develop their interests in the media center, band, choir and extracurricular activities. For students who need additional support, we work within our district's Student Services system. The team covers special education, Section 504 plans, English language services, counseling and health services. When special education may be appropriate, district staff work with families on interventions and seek parent consent for an evaluation. Educators and families then contribute to planning around the student's educational needs.
