Ohio College Preparatory School

Ohio College Preparatory School is a tuition-free public community school in Maple Heights for kindergarten through grade 8, sponsored by the Ohio Council of Community Schools and managed by ACCEL Schools.

Our students receive double the instruction in ELA and math, and we run a longer school day and school year than many schools. Teachers assess in short cycles and adjust whole-class, small-group and individual instruction from the results. Project-based learning runs through every core subject, an Experimental Lab supports hands-on science and STEM, and art and physical education round out the week. Our Success Matrix teaches responsibility, respect and safety, and The Viking Way builds social-emotional skills.

Full-day kindergarten includes an early entrance option for children who turn five before January 1 and pass an assessment. We serve families from Maple Heights, Warrensville Heights, Bedford and Garfield Heights, with free breakfast and lunch for eligible students and free bus transportation in our service area.
