Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy

Immaculate Heart of Mary School opened in 1954 as the parish school of Immaculate Heart of Mary in Cuyahoga Falls, a parish of more than 2,500 families. We enrolled 325 students in Pre-K through grade 8 in 2024-2025, including our Bright Beginnings Pre-K, and our building is attached to a large parish community center where students take physical education, Spanish, and music. We follow the Diocese of Cleveland curriculum aligned with Ohio standards, and every grade studies Catholic religion, language arts, math, social studies, and science with health. Specialized teachers lead art, music, computer, and physical education, and students use a thirty-station computer lab and classroom interactive boards. Many of our eighth graders continue at area Catholic and private high schools, often with scholarships earned on entrance exams. Students who need extra help receive academic support in reading and language arts, math, and speech, and counseling support is available. Outside class, students join band, Power of the Pen, the rocket team, Scouts, sports, and student council. Families can apply for diocesan tuition assistance, and we accept EdChoice scholarships.
