St Augustine School

St. Augustine has served the children of Barberton since 1928, and today our 211 students come from Barberton, Akron and across Summit County. We are a Catholic parish school in downtown Barberton, part of the Diocese of Cleveland, educating children from kindergarten through 8th grade.

We are a Notre Dame ACE Academy, so our teachers receive ongoing professional development from the University of Notre Dame and our college-prep curriculum follows the ACE model. Alongside math, reading, science, social studies, English language arts and religion, students study technology, STEM, art, music, health and physical education. Middle schoolers in grades 6 to 8 take on leadership roles, service projects and preparation for Catholic high school admission.

Faith is part of each day through daily prayer and weekly Mass. We are fully accredited K-8 by the Ohio Catholic School Accrediting Association, and every teacher holds at least a bachelor's degree. Financial aid, scholarships and flexible payment plans keep tuition within reach, and no family is turned away due to need.
