Elizabeth City Middle School

At H. L. Trigg Community School, we serve students in grades 6–12 through an alternative school program. Our mission is to help each student build the knowledge and skills needed for the future. We focus on attendance, attitude, and academics, and our principal describes individualized academic, social, and emotional support as part of our approach. We value working with families and the community to help students build confidence and move toward their goals.

Our Elizabeth City school is part of New Life Assembly. We use A Beka and Bob Jones curricula, combining academic subjects with Christian values. At New Life Academy, small-group work, outdoor play and opportunities to explore interests are part of learning. We work with parents throughout the student's education and adapt attention to each child's classroom needs.

At Northeastern High School, we serve students in grades 9–12 and offer a wide range of career and technical education courses. Our students and staff maintain seven greenhouses through the agriculture and FFA program. School counselors provide academic guidance, career planning, and social-emotional counseling; our career development team helps with CTE, military, and college planning.
