About Carolina Collaborative Prep
At Carolina Collaborative Prep, we meet students with learning differences where they are. Our small-group classes use individually designed curriculum and multisensory teaching that brings together sight, sound, touch, movement, hands-on projects, music, and multimedia. We adapt lessons, assignments, and tests so each student can learn the material in a low-stress setting. Our instructors use structured literacy and Orton-Gillingham methods for phonics, spelling, vocabulary, writing, and comprehension. Students study English language arts, math, science, and social studies, with hands-on labs, social-emotional learning, and executive-functioning instruction. Electives include labs, gardening, music, cooking, and life skills. Our fitness program offers activities such as aquatics, tennis, yoga, and conditioning. We work with families to shape each student’s curriculum around their strengths and future goals. The school week runs Monday through Thursday with a shorter Friday schedule.
