Founded over 40 years ago, Leeway School is an approved non-profit special education preschool located on a beautiful 4-acre campus in Sayville, NY. Leeway serves children ages 3 to 5 with developmental delays, speech and language impairments, autism spectrum disorder, and motor challenges, alongside typically developing preschool peers.
Leeway's multidisciplinary team includes certified special education teachers, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and certified teaching assistants. The campus features expansive outdoor play fields, specialized sensory playgrounds, and bright, modern classrooms tailored for early childhood growth.
Services are provided free of charge to eligible Long Island families through Suffolk and Nassau County Committee on Preschool Special Education (CPSE) placements.
