Pierce Country Day School

Pierce Country Day School has welcomed young children since 1943 on a 27-acre campus where a century-old Italian mansion anchors our classroom buildings. Gardens, open fields, multiple playgrounds, ball fields, and sport courts surround the classrooms, and our Clubhouse stage hosts performing arts and school events.

We run five-day programs for two-year-olds in Terrific Toddler, three-year-olds in Nursery, and four-year-olds in Pre-K. Project-based lessons follow New York State standards and cover early reading and phonics, early math, science, and social studies. Our music specialist meets each class twice a week, physical education includes yoga, gymnastics, and creative movement, and the Little Rembrandts art program introduces painters such as Van Gogh, Monet, and Georgia O'Keeffe. Each class performs two shows a year in the Clubhouse.

Tuition covers daily hot lunch, snacks, field trips, and special events. We own and operate our own bus fleet, driven by CDL-certified teachers, with door-to-door service in air-conditioned buses across set boundaries that include the Roslyn, East Williston, Manhasset, Port Washington, Herricks, North Shore, and Jericho school districts.
