About Sagamore Middle School

Sagamore Middle School serves students in grades 6–8 in Holtsville as part of Sachem Central School District. The 2026–27 school year begins with a nine-period day running from 7:50 a.m. to 2:40 p.m. For incoming sixth graders, the school holds an orientation where students walk their schedules, open lockers, and meet classmates and staff before classes begin. Sagamore also encourages students to join clubs, with meeting dates shared through the school’s monthly club calendar. Students use district Chromebooks for schoolwork, and Sagamore asks families to review the Chromebook agreement and keep contact details current in the eSchool parent portal. Principal Lisa Johnson leads the school with Assistant Principals Colleen Fernandez and Julianne Hayes. The main office is at 57 Division Street.
