Garden of Learning and Discovery Pre-K Center
Garden of Learning and Discovery is a District 9 pre-K center where young children learn through early education and individualized support. We offer special education services, CPSE plans, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and physical therapy. Our 8:1:2 and 12:1:1 classrooms give children different levels of adult support. A new 3K classroom includes a Spanish-language program. Families take part in monthly family days, cultural celebrations, and parent workshops, which connect classroom learning with home and community life. Kennedy Children's Center - Bronx
Founded in 1958, Kennedy Children's Center (KCC) is a premier non-profit early childhood special education agency serving young children ages 3 to 5 in the Bronx and Manhattan. KCC is approved by the New York State Education Department (NYSED) and licensed by the NYC Department of Health to provide specialized preschool education, therapeutic interventions, and family support services. KCC's multidisciplinary staff of certified special education teachers, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and bilingual social workers creates a nurturing, sensory-rich environment where young children with autism spectrum disorder, developmental delays, communication impairments, and motor difficulties build essential foundational skills. Classrooms are structured with low student-to-staff ratios (including 6:1:2, 8:1:2, and 10:1:2 models) to ensure intensive, individualized attention. Kennedy Children's Center services are provided at no cost to eligible NYC families through the Committee on Preschool Special Education (CPSE) process.
